About Jwalix

What we're building

Jwalix is an AI-powered applicant tracking platform for in-house recruiting teams and staffing agencies who want one workspace instead of stitched-together tools — jobs, candidates, interviews, placements, campaigns, and reporting, all in one place, with an AI Recruiting Copilot built into the workflow rather than bolted on. About the role

What you'd be doing

Most of what you'd design is dense, data-heavy workspace UI: pipelines, list views with saved filters, side-panel forms, and dashboards — used by people who open Jwalix dozens of times a day. The job is making that stay fast and legible as more data and more modules get added, not making it look impressive in a single screenshot.

You'd be the second designer here, working directly with the founders and engineering leads rather than through a design ops layer — decisions move fast, and so does feedback.

You'd report to the Head of Product and work directly with engineering leads on both frontend and backend.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

  • Design end-to-end module flows — Take a module like Campaigns or Interviews from a rough requirement to shipped screens, in partnership with engineering.
  • Work within an existing design system — Extend the Violet design system's tokens and components rather than introducing one-off styles per screen.
  • Design for permissions and empty states — Account for what a screen looks like with zero data, partial permissions, or a failed request — not only the happy path with full data.
  • Sit close to real usage — Look at how recruiters and agencies actually use the product to find friction, rather than redesigning from first principles alone.
  • Run lightweight user research — Talk to recruiters and agency admins directly — over a call or a support ticket — to validate a design before it ships, not just after.
  • Maintain design QA — Review shipped screens against your specs and flag drift, since a design system is only as good as its actual implementation.
Requirements

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years designing production B2B or SaaS software, with shipped work to show
  • Strong systems thinking — comfortable extending a design system, not just producing screens
  • Able to work directly from real data and edge cases, not idealized content
  • Proficiency with modern design tooling and handing off implementable specs to engineers
  • Comfortable designing for dense data tables, filters, and bulk actions, not just marketing pages
  • Able to give and receive direct feedback quickly in a small team
Nice to have
  • Experience designing for permission-gated, multi-tenant products
  • Prior work on HR tech, recruiting, or other workflow-heavy B2B tools
  • Basic familiarity with HTML/CSS, enough to have informed conversations with engineers
